General Reservation Information for Discovery Park

Welcome to the Rentals and Reservations page for the Center for Student Affairs at Discovery Park. This page provides information on reservable spaces, available equipment and usage guidelines designed to support student engagement, registered student organizations, and campus activities. Whether you are planning a meeting, event, or special program, please review the policies, availability and request procedures outlined below to ensure a smooth and successful reservation process.

UNT Departments (Campus)

Facility reservations may be requested in person in room G140 (Center for Student Affairs at Discovery Park) or emailed to CSA at DP (dplife@unt.edu). The facility request form is available online. Requests must be submitted at least one week in advance. Reservations will not be made for Intramural teams.

UNT Student Organizations (Students)

All student organizations must complete a campus event planner through their organization's OrgSync/Campus Lab account by visiting the Student Organizations website. Requests should be made a minimum of 10 business days in advance. Reservations will not be made for Intramural teams.

Non-university Groups (Off-campus)

Non-university affiliated groups who wish to reserve space must call 940-565-3390 to make the reservation. Reservations remain tentative pending receipt of deposit or receipt of a University account number.

 

Space Available For Rent

DP Soccer Field

These policies are designed to ensure fair access, proper planning, and compliance with university event procedures while maintaining the condition of the facility. Please review the requirements carefully before submitting your request. Please note that the soccer field may not be used within two days after it has rained to preserve the grassy field. Also, please be prepared to provide a backup date minimum two days after your original requested day for potential rain, snow, hail, etc. 

Registered Student Organizations

For registered student organizations, the DP soccer field rental is:

    • Free of charge
    • Required to complete the rental request form online
    • Must be a registered organization
    • Must have the approved event request on Campus Labs

Meeting Room C211

The Student Organization Room is designed primarily to support student engagement and collaboration during regular office hours. Priority is given to students and registered student organizations during these times. The information below outlines the room’s capacity, available amenities, reservation expectations, and usage policies, including conditions for repeat reservations and after-hours access.

Room Details & Policies
    • Seating capacity: up to 8 people with tables and chairs, or 12 people using chairs and sofas
    • Tables and chairs are provided
    • TV, Air Media, and HDMI cords are available
    • Student groups reserving the Student Organization Room more than once per week will be charged $10 per hour per meeting
Campus Use Policy
    • The room may be reserved by campus departments only after regular office hours to preserve student and registered student organization priority during the day

The equipment listed below is available to support student engagement, registered meetings and campus events when it is not being used by the office. Please review the availability guidelines and advance notice requirements before submitting a request.

Tabling

Tabling is a great way for students and registered student organizations to connect with the Discovery Park community, share information, and promote events or initiatives. The guidelines below outline tabling availability, expectations, and procedures to ensure an engaging, organized, and respectful experience for all participants.

Registered Student Organization: Please email CSA at DP at dplife@unt.edu. Requests must be submitted five business days in advance with the application for solicitation form provided by CSA.

Campus: Request form available in person, online, or please email CSA at DP at dplife@unt.edu. Requests should be made a minimum of five business days in advance.

Off-Campus: Please email CSA at DP at dplife@unt.edu.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get my request approved?

We try to get all requests approved within 2 business days! However, If you haven't heard back after 5 business days, send us an email at dplife@unt.edu or call us at 940.369.5847 and we are happy to give you an update on the status.

How do I know that my request was approved?

Once your request is approved you will receive an email from our of our student employees confirming your request with more information. If denied the student assistant will include your next steps. 

Why was my request denied?
If your request was denied, one of our student assistants will send you an email explaining why we could not approve it and send you alternate days. Remember, when requesting the field or room; please include a backup date that we may approve if the first one overlaps with someone else's event. Note: Please be advised students and student organizations have priority. If this is the case, we will approve the second date provided!
