Purpose

The purpose of The Eagle's Nest Fund is to assist registered student organizations with their programming, which can be defined as events. The Eagle’s Nest Fund supports registered student organizations at UNT in hosting events that promote student involvement and enrich campus life. Funded programs must be free, open to all students, and provide opportunities for engagement and inclusion.

How to Apply

Applications are now open! To apply, student organizations must complete the following steps:

1. Watch the required Resource Meeting Presentation & Quiz

Before beginning your application, watch the required Eagle's Nest Resource Presentation.

2. Complete the Self-Guided Resource Quiz

After watching the Resource Presentation, complete the required Resource Quiz with a passing score of 90% or higher.

Need Help? Attend a Virtual Resource Meeting

Eagle's Nest and Raupe Virtual Resource Meetings are held jointly every Thursday online from 12-1 p.m. via Zoom (Link found in Application or below).

*Please Note: These meetings are intended specifically for students who have questions regarding the Self-Guided Resource Quiz.

Complete the Online Application

Submit via Microsoft Forms at least 4 weeks before your event. Include the following information:

  • A detailed budget
  • Event overview
  • Signatures from the president and faculty/staff advisor

The application is not complete without all required sections and signatures. You can apply through Microsoft Forms here. 

Fund Information

  • Student organizations may request up to $2,500 per program. Any amount exceeding this must be approved by the SGA President.
  • Funding does not cover reimbursements or contract deposits.
  • All approved purchases will be managed by Student Activities on behalf of your organization.
  • You must submit a Purchase Request Form for each vendor/business at least two (2) weeks prior to the event or item need date.
  • The entire funding process may take up to four (4) weeks.
  • Programs must:
      • Be free and open to all UNT students
      • Serve the betterment of campus life
      • Present a clear opportunity for student involvement
      • Provide equal access, with reasonable accommodations if needed

 

Additional Information

Organizations must have already submitted an Event Application with Student Activities before applying for Eagle's Nest. Failure to do so will result in a denied application. Programs must also:

  • Be free and open to all UNT students
  • Serve the betterment of campus life
  • Present a clear opportunity for student involvement
  • Provide equal access, with reasonable accommodations if needed
