When Is the UNT Food Pantry Open?

The UNT Food Pantry provides free food assistance, groceries, and basic support resources for currently enrolled University of North Texas students experiencing food insecurity. Whether you need short-term help or ongoing access to nutritious food, the pantry is here to support your academic success and well-being. Find Summer and Fall 2026 pantry hours, location details, eligibility guidelines, and information about additional food assistance resources available in Denton and the surrounding community.

To help serve as many students as possible, the UNT Food Pantry may be used once per week per student.
Pantry Guidelines
First-Time Visitors
Please bring your student ID when visiting for the first time.

Returning Visitors
Please bring:
  • Student ID
  • Food Pantry card
  • Grocery bag

The UNT Food Pantry will be closed as we relocate to our new location at:  621 South Welch Street, Denton, TX

Need an Appointment Outside Regular Hours?

If you are unable to visit during posted pantry hours, email DESresources@unt.edu to arrange an alternative appointment time. The UNT Food Pantry follows the University of North Texas closure calendar and is closed whenever the university is officially closed.
