About the Department: 

The Emerald Eagle Scholars Program at the University of North Texas is designed to open doors for academically talented, highly motivated students with significant financial need, helping them pursue their dreams and unlock their full potential. As a selective four‑year program, it covers the average cost of tuition and mandatory fees for up to 15 credit hours each fall and spring semester, reducing financial barriers so students can focus on succeeding in the classroom and beyond.

More than a scholarship, Emerald Eagle Scholars is a supportive community that connects students to campus resources, mentors and engagement opportunities that build confidence and belonging. The program offers workshops, involvement experiences and personalized guidance to help scholars transition into college life, stay on track academically, and graduate on time.

How would you describe the responsibilities of your role?

I'm the Emerald Eagle Scholars Program Coordinator, and I support students in EESP and the First Generation Success Center during one-on-one coaching and planning fun events to build community between all of our students!

What do you appreciate most about working at UNT?

My favorite part about being at UNT is my team! They are so kind, special, and make sure every student is seen and heard in every interaction.
